Mission

YBYTU’s mission is to foster a creative environment that supports the development of artists and their work. Through the artist residency program, we seek to provide participants with a space for experimentation and exchange, encouraging the exploration of new ideas and techniques. In addition, YBYTU is dedicated to supporting artistic projects that promote dialogue and reflection on contemporary issues.

Objectives

YBYTU’s goals include providing an enriching experience for artists in residence, facilitating the development of their individual practices and projects. We also seek to establish strategic partnerships with local institutions and communities to expand the reach of artistic initiatives. In addition, YBYTU aims to promote events and exhibitions that connect the public with the work of artists, encouraging appreciation and dialogue around contemporary art.

YBYTU is a dynamic Visual Arts platform centered around an artist residency program, serving as an important hub for creativity and innovation. In addition to welcoming artists from diverse backgrounds, YBYTU sponsors a wide range of projects and artistic initiatives, fostering collaboration and supporting the growth of the contemporary art scene.

  • Currently a partner at Turim MFO, she joined in 2019 and is responsible for the Customer Relations area in São Paulo. She is a member of Turim's Board of Directors.

    Having worked in the financial market for over 20 years, he served as Managing Director at Credit Suisse Brazil, leading the client acquisition area related to Private Banking and Wealth Management until 2017. He was a member of the Credit Suisse Private Banking Strategic Committee and a representative at ANBIMA for regulatory matters.

    She joined Hedging Griffo in 2001 and became a partner in 2004, participating in the entire process of acquisition of Hedging Griffo by Credit Suisse. Previously, she worked at Banco BTG Pactual and Investidor Profissional Capital Partners.

    She holds a degree in Business Administration and an MBA in Finance from IBMEC - SP. She has taken several courses over the past 2 years, during which time she lived in New York, such as: Leading Strategic Growth and Change and Future of Learning (Columbia Business School); Art, Money and the Law (Christie's Education); and Introduction to Art and Finance (Sotherby's Institute of Art). At the Credit Suisse training center in Zurich, she took several courses focused on leadership, such as Leadership Development. In 2018, she participated in the Singularity University Summit.

    She is a member of the Board of Pivô Arte e Pesquisa – SP/Salvador, and the Board of Solar dos Abacaxis – RJ. She is the founder of the Ybytu artistic residency project in São Paulo. In the US, she is a member of the International Leadership Council of the New Museum. She is also a mentor at Instituto Quintessa, a social business accelerator focused on impact management.

    Bernardo is an entrepreneur and investor with over 30 years of experience in management, creative technology, and innovation. As the founder of Ybytu, he leads a project that supports artists in their creative and professional processes, connecting them to an ecosystem that fosters collaboration and growth. Previously, Bernardo founded Foxbit, the first cryptocurrency exchange in Brazil, establishing himself as a pioneer in the blockchain and cryptocurrency sector. His expertise ranges from developing digital strategies to implementing disruptive technologies in the financial market. Bernardo also founded Mani, a startup focused on financial services for people over 50. Based between New York and São Paulo, he is committed to transforming the future of finance with an inclusive and technological approach. Bernardo is also a member of the international committee of the New Museum in New York and the board of Pivô, an art and research institute based in São Paulo.

    Luiza Teixeira de Freitas is an independent curator who lives and works in Lisbon. Among the many projects she is involved in, her curatorial work with private collections stands out, as well as her active relationship with independent publications and artists’ books, having launched her own publishing house Taffimai in 2018. Although based in Portugal, she frequently works on projects in São Paulo, New York, London, Los Angeles and also has strong connections with the Middle East. Luiza is a strategy consultant at the Delfina Foundation in London, a member of the Board of Directors of Bidoun, and also President and member of Operação Nariz Vermelho, Portugal.

    Antonio Pedro Faria is a Liberal Arts student at Emory University in Atlanta, where he explores various fields of knowledge through an interdisciplinary lens. With an interest in Political and Economic Sciences, Antonio maintains a constant enthusiasm for art, a passion he has nurtured since childhood. His experiences in cosmopolitan cities such as New York, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Atlanta have shaped his global perspective and deepened his appreciation for the transformative role of artist residencies in both Brazilian and international cultural contexts.

    Ana Lopes has a degree in Psychology and Pedagogy and a postgraduate degree in Art History from the Faculty of Fine Arts. She worked for 10 years as an educator at the Lourenço Castanho School in São Paulo. Previously, she was the sales manager at Tecelagem Santaconstancia, at its headquarters in Rio de Janeiro, a showroom supervisor and a sales representative.

    She is part of the Núcleo Contemporâneo do MAM, is on the Inhotim friends program, is a producer at Ybytu and a partner at +ARTE, an audience development project that involves education, access and engagement in art.
