Support for Daniel Lie’s exhibition “Unnamed Entities”, New Museum, NY
Since 2010, Lie has been using organic materials to create large-scale pieces that grow and decay simultaneously.
“Unnamed Entities” (2022), a new commission created specifically for the Museum’s Lobby Gallery, incorporates traditional terracotta pottery, jute and hemp fabric, natural fiber ropes, straw bales, spore- and seed-bearing mud, and thousands of cut flowers. These materials will evolve and transmute throughout the exhibition as they rot, mold, sprout, and change shape and hue in unpredictable ways.
Lie understands his works as living entities endowed with consciousness and agency, and considers the process of decay as a way of complicating the binary opposition between life and death.

Action based on Zoe Leonard's work "I want a president"
“I Want a President” is a collective action by galleries, independent spaces and cultural institutions. There are more than 30 participants from São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte. This action aims to revisit the text by artist and activist Zoe Leonard, originally written in 1992, entitled “I want a president”. The project aims to form a unison chorus with multiple voices, always believing in the power of art to impact people.
