Gisela Casimiro (Guinea-Bissau, 1984) is a Portuguese writer, artist, performer and activist. She graduated in Portuguese and English Studies from NOVA/FCSH. Her work focuses on identity, body, memory, trauma, racism, post-colonialism and everyday life.

She works on identity, body, memory, trauma, racism, post-colonialism and everyday life. Her practice involves photography, installation, collage and sound. She is the author of «Erosão» and «Giz» (poetry), «Estendais» (chronicles) and «Casa com Árvores Dentro» (playwriting). She has participated in exhibitions at Armário, the Municipal Galleries of Porto and Lisbon, among others. She is part of the António Cachola Collection. She is a founding member of UNA - União Negra das Artes.
