In his practice, Jaro Varga explores how spatial experience can be reshaped through movement and narrative. He often reconfigures familiar environments or invites visitors to enter fictional situations that shift their perception. By constructing new topographies, he encourages a rethinking of spaces that are otherwise fixed in our collective memory. During his residency Jaro will continue pursuing his recent interest in how, historically and in the present day, knowledge is created and our continued failure or inability to discover how things “really are.”
