Noara Quintana is a visual artist. Her research focuses on the materiality of everyday objects and the indices of Global South histories they carry.

Through installations and sculptures, her work points to economic exchanges, architectural forms and narratives that run counter to the legacy of a colonial imaginary. She has participated in several exhibitions and residencies, including Lauréate 2020 from the Institut Français at the Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris, FR, and a resident at Pivô Arte Pesquisa, São Paulo, SP, in 2021. She has recently been part of exhibitions such as: in 2021, Frestas - Trienal das Artes SESC “O rio é uma serpente”, Sorocaba, SP, and “For The Phoenix To Find Its Form In Us”, SAVVY Contemporary, Berlin, DE; And in 2022, “Cultivation”, Galeria Marli Matsumoto, São Paulo, SP, “11th National Victor Meirelles Salon”, MASC, Florianópolis, SC, and “The Children Have to Hear Another Story – Alanis Obomsawin”, Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW), Berlin, DE.
