He holds a Master Fine Arts degree from the Central Saint Martin of Art and Design, London, UK (2009) with a Lismore Castle Scholarship and a Master’s degree in Sculpture at the Royal College of Arts in London, UK (2014). He received a prize from the São Paulo Biennial Foundation, SP, Brazil Contemporary Art Program and participated in the following exhibitions: Tomorrow: London, at South London Gallery, London, UK, Mixed Media Stories at Tomie Ohtake Institute, São Paulo, SP , 18th Sesc_Videobrasil Contemporary Art Festival: 30th Anniversary, São Paulo, SP and Open Cube at White Cube, London, UK.

 

He was a resident artist at the Red Bull House of Art, São Paulo, SP, 2009 and Phosphorus, São Paulo, SP, 2015. He participated in the program Pivô Pesquisa, São Paulo, SP, 2014, Capacete Universidade de Verão, Rio de Janeiro, RJ , 2012, Flusserian Fridays, Vilém Flusser Archive, Berlin, Germany, 2011, Capacete Máquina de Responder/29th São Paulo Biennial, SP, 2010 and Art + Architecture with Lucia Koch at Centro Cultural Oswald de Andrade, São Paulo, SP, 2010.

 

His practice of artistic research dates back moments in time that influenced the aesthetics of the world as we perceive it today. By constructing a collection of facts, found objects, gifts and places he traveled, the artist re-works these elements through drawing, painting, bronze casting, charcoal strokes, video editing and arranging/re-arranging them in space in oder to put these moments or situations in evidence by throwing a new light on them.
